To summarise, all you need to do is measure in 3 places for both the width and drop. Ensure you use a metal tape measure rather than a cloth one, for increased accuracy. It is important to check for any obstructions, such as window handles, to ensure the handle of the window doesn't come into contact with the frame when being operated.

In a nutshell, once the frame has been put together, hold it up against the window frame and see where the punch holes line up on the frame. Using a pencil, mark where the holes are, then slide the brackets into the rubber gasket of the window, with the holes lined up to where the pencil marks are.
