Child Safe Blinds For Your Family
We know how important it is to have child safe blinds. Here at Blinds4All, we are advocates of the Make it Safe campaign run by the British Blind and Shutter Association (BBSA), which promotes window blind safety in homes, public buildings and other environments.
We don’t think you should have to compromise the aesthetic of your home in order to protect your children, and your pets, from the dangers of window coverings. In today’s day and age, safety should be guaranteed, and of paramount importance to all. That’s why, at Blinds4All, we have collated a list of our favourite child safe blinds, to make it easy for you to style your home as you wish.
Duette® TruFit® Blinds
This blind is a really popular option for fitting directly to the glazed section of windows and doors and there are a multitude of reasons for this. First of all, the blind is completely drill and screw free! There are two side profiles which stick to the left and right side of the glazed section of the window with a 3M adhesive. The blind then has four feet in total, one for each corner of the blind, which simply click into place onto the profile, with tension cords running from the top to the bottom of each side.
The Duette® TruFit® blind is handle operated, meaning you don’t have loose operating cords hanging down from the blind. Because the blind is fitted directly to the glass and moves with the window/door, it makes it the perfect option for tilt and turn windows, French doors, Bi-folding doors and more. Duette® TruFit® blinds are suitable for PVC, aluminium and wooden frames.
Duette® Handle Blinds
Duette® Handle Blinds are attached via two rails which fix to the frames or beads of the window with neat concealed brackets. This Duette® blind is handle operated, allowing control of your shading by moving in a single direction. Depending on how you install the blinds, you can operate from either bottom up or top down.
Duette® SmartCord® Blinds
The SmartCord operating system used by these blinds offer a retractable cord mechanism, removing any long, dangling cords that could be a safety hazard, whilst also maintaining style and sophistication from the blind itself. A revolutionary design in child safe blinds, this design is also great if you have pets, for there is no cord that can be used as a chew toy, or that can endanger your dogs, or cats.
Motorised Roller Blinds
Powered blinds enable you the freedom to remotely operate your blinds from a distance, with the help of a remote control. No hanging cords are necessary with this design, as it is all done behind the scenes. These motorised alternatives can help keep your home child & pet safe.
Vertical Blinds
These child safe blinds are a great alternative to traditional horizontal blinds. Unlike their aforementioned counterparts, vertical blinds do not collect as much dust, they can be tilted to get the most of the light without the glare, and can be moved to the side to allow a full view of your window. They also come with the option of wand control, for both the tilt and draw, to ensure child and pet safety and allow your little ones and their furry friends to sit and admire the view without the curtains getting in the way.
