The Duette® SmartCord® is easy to use thanks to the clever gearbox mechanism hidden in the headrail, which allows the cord to retract, maintaining a constant cord length no matter the position of the blind. To raise the blind simply pull the cord straight down, to lower the blind you just move the cord towards the centre of the blind, this releases the cord lock mechanism and allows the blind to drop. To summarise, all you need to do is measure in 3 places for both the width and drop. Ensure you use a metal tape measure rather than a cloth one, for increased accuracy. It is important to check for any obstructions, such as window handles, to ensure the blind doesn't come into contact with anything when it is being lowered.

In a nutshell, hold each bracket into place and mark the hole positions. Fit each bracket using suitable screws. Please ensure fixings are suitable for the frame/surface to which you are mounting the brackets. Once again, it is important to check for any obstructions like window handles, please account for this when choosing where to fit your blinds.
